This is a hard “holiday” for me…
Amazing how much you can love a person you never really got to meet.
Wherever you are Daddy…I hope you’re still rocking the suitcoat and short shorts.

Things people with Social Anxiety do

high-energy-introvert:

•go to the bathroom to escape

•feel very uncomfortable without a phone or some other crutch

•dwell on a small awkward moment for much longer than necessary

•never go to any social event without a person that makes you feel comfortable

•follow said person way too much

•worry about the person beginning to find you obnoxious

•faking an illness to get out of a social event

Yep.

Engage and challenge me mentally #sext

Okay pop stars and models it’s WAY past time to pretend you aren’t aware of what cultural appropriation means and why it’s totally not okay.  There isn’t an excuse.  It isn’t “respectful”.  It isn’t about “admiration” for a different culture.  You don’t “have” to do it because your editor or stylist or agent required you to.  It’s not “okay” because you have a friend who identifies as that culture and they told you it was cool.
What it is is problematic.  What it does is contribute to a culture of white supremacy.  If you can’t think of a way to style your photo shoot or music video that doesn’t involve appropriating someone’s culture, then I guess you aren’t creative enough to continue in your artistic career any longer.
It feels like there is a new example of this FAR too frequently lately.  Enough is enough.

Reblogging myself because ugh…
